A little preparation for a familiar travel question: “Will I know what to do when it’s time to pay?”

## Why this exists

Test My Alipay helps travellers prepare for their first payment in China. Start with our wallet setup guides, practical troubleshooting, and free pre-trip checklist. If you choose to test a supported payment, a small voluntary donation helps support this project.

## How payment tests work

Choose an amount, review the receiving code and recipient, then complete the transaction inside your official wallet app. Check its final status there. A completed payment confirms that particular transaction; it does not certify your account or guarantee acceptance everywhere.

## Our editorial approach

Our guides link to official sources, show review dates, and explain the limits of a test. We do not claim to have tested every card or account. For an account-specific issue, your wallet provider or bank is the right place to ask.

Some card guides contain Wise and Revolut referral links. We may receive a reward if you use them. We label these links and recommend checking current provider terms before applying. Our guides remain free.

Our China eSIM guide also includes a Trip.com affiliate link. We may earn a commission if you buy through it.

## An independent project

Test My Alipay is not operated, endorsed, or approved by Alipay, Ant Group, Tencent, or WeChat. Their names identify the services covered by our guides and are trademarks of their respective owners.
